偶午饭前写的小作文:

There is a view nowadays, saying that for the sake of science progress, it can never be better to live today than ever in the history. They list many examples. They state that even a king’s life 200 years ago can’t compare with an ordinary people’s today. I admit that it’s true due to overwhelming Internet communication as well as other booming technologies.

But it doesn’t necessarily mean that every aspect today is better. For example, there are modern city diseases that didn’t exist in history, including physical, psychological and social diseases. Today is good. But one should not be too proud to be blind.

Also it depends on one’s world viewpoint to applaud for today’s sciences and technologies. If you ask a poet in China, he may argue that Tang or Han Dynasty is the golden age. Yes, those days are when poets could also be warriors or knights or whatever.

I agree that to live today is better in many ways, but not everything.

特别说明,我喜欢技术和创新,只是不喜欢everything is uniform...like one sound, one option...
